In Japan they have a different view of the word “struggle”. They view struggle as a strength rather than a weakness like most of us do. Struggling means you have the ability to face down challenges that inevitably occur when you are trying to learn something new. If we change the way we view ourselves & allow the "struggle to be ok” we can profoundly affect our behavior & how we go about our day to day life. With photography, just like so many other things, there is a constant struggle to get the perfect shot -you know the one that we will never obtain. If we did get it we would be done photographing anything ever again. Right? Right! The goal is always to stay inspired & to push ourselves through our struggles. I employ all of you to embrace the struggle & to start letting it be OK. Because that is just what it is: OK.
